A useful Andaman budget starts with your travel dates, party size and island route—not a headline package price.
Set the assumptions before calculating a total
Write down travel dates, adults and children, nights on each island, room occupancy and the ferry class you intend to book. These choices change a budget far more than a generic “Andaman trip cost” headline can explain. Keep flights separate initially so you can see the island holiday cost and the full door-to-door cost. Date every quote: it is a comparison snapshot, not a price promise.
Build a worksheet with shared and individual costs
Use one line each for return flights, room nights, ferry sectors, airport and jetty transfers, meals, attraction admission and optional activities. Multiply per-person charges by the relevant travellers; multiply room rates by rooms and nights, not automatically by people. Add taxes or booking charges only where they are excluded from the quote. Your total is the sum of these lines, with a separate contingency amount you choose for changes.
Compare the same holiday on both sides
If a package looks cheaper, check its exact hotel, room category, meal plan, ferry class and transfer arrangements. Compare those with the independent bookings you actually want. An included activity you would otherwise skip is not necessarily a saving. Ask for child charges and extra-bed conditions in writing. Our room pages show Ambika’s room options; use a live quote for your dates when filling in the accommodation line.
Keep the budget useful when plans change
Mark each line as paid, refundable, changeable or unpaid using the supplier’s current conditions. This shows what is at risk if you move a night or change an island. Look at the five-day route before adding activities, because the available hours may rule some out. A realistic budget includes the holiday you can comfortably complete, not every experience advertised for the islands.
