A year-end Andaman holiday starts taking shape well before December. Getting the main bookings to fit together gives you more freedom once you arrive.

Choose the dates that matter most

For a December Andaman holiday, decide whether Christmas, New Year or simply a particular week of leave is the priority. That helps you compare alternatives without changing the purpose of the trip every time a fare changes. Look at complete journeys from your departure city, including the time you reach Port Blair and the time you must leave again.

Compare availability across the whole route

Check island stays and ferry sectors together before paying for a route that is only partly available. Keep a table of what is confirmed and what remains provisional. A room quote does not hold a ferry seat, and a flight booking does not confirm an island transfer. If the ideal sequence does not fit, reducing hotel changes may give you a better holiday than squeezing in an extra island.

Ask exactly what festive bookings include

Where a property advertises a Christmas or New Year programme, confirm whether attendance is optional, whether there is an additional charge and which guests it covers. Check meal inclusions, age-related charges and cancellation conditions directly. We do not assume that every hotel runs a celebration or includes a gala dinner. Ambika’s confirmed amenities are described on our amenities page.

Leave space for a calm return

Use the first-trip guide to organise bookings and the five-day itinerary to assess the nights you need. Before adding the last island, look again at the flight home and what a delayed ferry would affect. Compare Ambika rooms for the Port Blair portion of the holiday. Current weather and transport instructions should be checked close to travel, regardless of the month.
